After seeing this contest advertised on my favorite TV network, Bravo, I knew that yachties could kick butt at it.  Ziplocs are on every crew members necessities list.  It is probably a tie between stews & chefs as to who has the most uses for Ziplocs.  Everyone stocks up while provisioning and washes out & reuses them in places where they are not available.  Here’s a chance to show the world your amazing skills with those indispensable plastic bags and containers.

Show-off your outstanding use of Ziplocs by entering the Ziploc Organize Your Space Contest.  The big prize is US$10,000.  A nice chunk of change for documenting what you do everyday which is summed up in the theme: “How you creatively organize your life with the help of plastic storage bags and containers”.   There is a super cool multi-media application that includes an essay, photos & video.  You can find all the details here in the contest rules.

As I perused the rules, a couple of key details jumped out:

  1. Must be a US resident
  2. Must be in the United Sates of America
  3. Deadline is March 1, 2009
